Commodore 128 BASIC 7 programs

I write BASIC 7 programs for fun from time to time, I started programming in BASIC 7 when I was 12 when my mom gave me my first computer, a C128 from a garage sale in 1994
I still make programs from time to time just for fun, it is a slow language but quite feature rich for learning so I decided to share some of my programs here

Usage

All the files above the divider line are BASIC 7 programs that can be run, all the items below the divider are Helpers (border fast speed up) , character sets , sprites.

Load the disk image in your real C128 or emulator and press F3 or type DIRECTORY to get the directory listing.

use DLOAD"filename" to load the program and then type RUN 

Splashscreen

This program loads a charset into memory and clears the screen to my own custom splashscreen, nothing fancy was just messing around. TTGAME and BBSHIP will work still with this charset, BASICTRO will not

TTGAME

A tiktok friend of mine did an old BASIC 2 type in of a game once on the C64 and it was very long winded because BASIC 2 is not great at handling gfx so I made the game in BASIC 7 to show off the sprite and input features and ended up with a decently clean codebase. Use a joystick to play this game. Eventually I ported this to TRSE and it became an official example program for the C128 and THEN! I made the Last Snowball for the C64 from that. A lot of history with this one.

BASICTRO

A simple , but slow, tro' made on the C128 using BASIC 7, a sprite for the raster and a scrolling text line.

BBSHIP

This is a single player battleship like game I made in BASIC 7. Originally I had asked Chat GPT to make me one in the style of Commodore BASIC to see if it even could but it didn't run so I decided to make one myself that did run. I used the BASIC 7 WINDOW command to split the screen between game board and input.
