Space Fight! is a 2v2 4 player game for the Commodore 64 using the Protovision adapter. It also supports 3 players with the SNES Adapter in a 2v1 game. The purpose of Space Fight! is to achieve a higher score than the opposing team. You can do this directly by shooting players or you can shoot asteroids and change their trajectory into the enemy team causing them to lose points for collision deaths.

Requirements

●  Commodore 64/128 Hardware or emulator NTSC or PAL
●  At least 2 humans, maximum 4
●  At least 2 joystick or gamepads, maximum 4
●  For 3 players a SNES adapter or Protovision Adapter
●  For 4 players a Protovision Adapter
●  Some way to use the program, either a disk drive, SD2IEC, KFF, UII+, TheC64 or VICE

Special 3 player mode

In 3 player mode player 2 is all alone against 1 and 3 so I gave player 2 a spread fire to shoot 3 bullets at once to try and level the playing field. This makes for some interesting changes to gameplay as you can quickly launch asteroids at the enemy with 3 bullets if you get up close.

Controls

Players can move in all directions and press fire to shoot. If you are moving left or right when you shoot the bullet will drift in that direction.

The future...

In the fall I will start work on a deluxe edition that will add more game modes and power ups but I tend to check out on the computer scene during the summer months so I wanted to get this version out before that happened!
